OUR DOMAIN
Since 1867, four generations have succeeded each other in renowned climates. Beyond the sparkling pearls, the DEFRANCE family has for many years the privilege and the art of vinifying the famous « Vin Rosé des Riceys ». The domain consists mainly of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Christophe Defrance in collaboration with his wife Marie-Dominique for about twenty years, and more recently with his daughter Anne-Sophie, has evolved cultural practices to extract all the riches of their land of belonging in respect of nature and the terroir. Today, insecticides, antibotrytis and herbicides are no longer used and all soils are cultivated mechanically. The Champagne Jacques DEFRANCE is certified Terra Vitis and HVE III.
In the silence of the cellars, La Native rises from the earth, like a vine coming to life.
